A 304 Stainless Steel Rod is a versatile, austenitic metal bar, known as "18/8" due to its 18% chromium and 8% nickel content, offering excellent corrosion resistance, high strength (around 515 MPa tensile), good formability, and durability, making it ideal for construction, appliances, and high-temperature/pressure uses. It's non-magnetic in annealed state and can be found in various shapes like round, hex, or square, commonly specified by ASTM A276 or AMS 5639.

Made per ASTM A240/A666 standards; SS 304 offers 18-20% Cr, 8-11% Ni, tensile strength 515-620 MPa, suitable up to 1500°F. Thicknesses range 0.3-6mm standard.​
