Mild steel (MS) hex nipples are forged threaded pipe fittings with hexagonal centers for easy wrench installation, featuring male NPT/BSPT threads on both ends to connect female fittings. ​

Dimensions

For 1/2" Class 3000 hex nipple: length (L) 46 mm, hex width (W) 22 mm, thread length (B) 10.5 mm. A 1" size measures L 50 mm, W 27 mm, B 10.5 mm; 2" reaches L 62 mm, W 52 mm.  ​

Specifications

Made from low-carbon mild steel per BS 1387 or IS 1239, sizes 1/8" to 4" NPS in 150-3000 LB classes. Often galvanized for corrosion protection, suitable for pressures up to 1000 psi.  ​
