LTCS laterals conform to ASTM A420 WPL6, covering seamless and welded carbon/alloy steel fittings for low-temperature use. Chemical composition limits include carbon ≤0.30%, manganese 0.50-1.35%, phosphorus ≤0.035%, and sulfur ≤0.040%. They offer tensile strength of 415-655 MPa (60-95 ksi), yield strength ≥240 MPa (35 ksi), with minimum elongations of 22% longitudinal and 12% transverse.​

These fittings provide excellent low-temperature toughness, good weldability, and moderate corrosion resistance in non-aggressive environments. Sizes range from 1/2" to 48" or larger (up to 72" seamless), in schedules like STD, XS, Sch 40-160. Dimensions follow ASME B16.9, with manufacturing types including seamless, welded, or ERW.​

ASTM A182 F316L grade features ≤0.03% carbon, ≤2.0% manganese, ≤0.75% silicon, 16.0-18.0% chromium, 10.0-14.0% nickel, 2.0-3.0% molybdenum, P≤0.045%, and S≤0.030% for pitting and crevice corrosion resistance.​
