Monel 400 needle valves are precision flow control components made from a nickel-copper alloy known for excellent corrosion resistance, particularly in seawater, acids, and alkaline environments. 

Key Specifications

These valves typically come in sizes from 1/8" to 2" (3 mm to 50 mm), with pressure ratings up to 150#, 300#, 600#, or even 10,000 PSI depending on design.
Common configurations include forged bodies in inline/straight or angle patterns, with threaded ends like ½" NPT, BSPT, or G ½.
They support 2-way or 3-way functions, with body shapes such as square, round, or hexagon.​

Material Properties

Monel 400 (UNS N04400) offers superior strength: tensile strength of 80,000 PSI (550 MPa), yield strength of 35,000 PSI (240 MPa), and 40% elongation.
Its composition includes minimum 63% nickel, 28-34% copper, max 2.5% iron, and density of 8.8 g/cm³, with a melting point of 1350°C (2460°F).
